A new meeting that would gather all stakeholders seems expedient to punctuate biofuel development in view of actions that have been initiated and needs for technical information on biofuel possible performances (agronomy, fuels, engines, etc.).

Thereby, the conference aims to address the following goals in order to forge ahead the process, to take bearings on actual acquired knowledge, and to create a think tank for exchanges and discussion:

  1. Assess biofuel responsibility for the rise in raw material prices and the global food crisis
  2. Propose an analysis of biofuel usage and applications per sector according to national development strategies that could be implemented
  3. Risks and strongholds associated with specific technical choices will be discussed and confronted with opportunities
  4. Present applicable methodologies and assessment tools to determine the potential impacts of biofuels on social, economic and environmental conditions.
